In fact, we started out as Leadership coaches and realised that a person is only ever as successful as the environment you put them in. So we now focus on the ‘environment’ and making that rock.

The fundamental error that a lot of leaders make is, that they do not intentionally design the culture. 67% of leaders believe that culture is more important than strategy and operations however in practice leaders only spend 6% of their time on proactively influencing culture. (PWC) They set out the company strategy, the financial plan, the sales plan…..what about the culture? Companies with outstanding cultures have a culture plan too!
Each element of culture must be designed well. You don’t start building a house until you have designed it first. We say “Design the fundamentals first THEN make it great”.
This is what I have learned when leading large manufacturing sites and also supporting > 40 organisations through my own consultancy business since 2017.
